Mentor a Student

Each year, the College of Food, Agricultural, and Natural Resource Sciences matches over 150 students with mentors working in the career field. At a minimum, mentors commit one hour per month to have conversations with mentees about career goals, knowledge gained from working in the field, and plans and ideas for opportunities to pursue. Mentors also offer the opportunity for mentees to participate in a half-day (or more) job shadow. The mentor program is always seeking mentors to develop the next generation of professionals and accepts applications year-round. Learn more about the mentor program and apply on the CFANS Mentor Program page.

Attend Departmental Events

We host seminars and other events throughout the academic year featuring professors, researchers, and other professionals doing interesting work in the field of horticultural science. To stay up-to-date on all our events and seminars, add the department's Google Calendar or browse our events page.

The college has events, programs, and opportunities for alumni throughout the entire year and across the country.
