Scholarships

Every year, the department awards scholarships to current, incoming, and transfer undergraduate students in plant science and sustainable agriculture & food systems. Students are automatically eligible for all departmental scholarships when they apply for college-level scholarships or through their admission materials to the university. ASHS Outstanding Undergraduate Horticulture StudentStudents are nominated for this award by the department. This award is given to the top undergraduate scholar in the department.
ASHS Collegiate Scholars AwardStudents are nominated for this award by the department. They must be in the top 15% of their class and are selected on the basis of their scholarship achievements, leadership abilities, participation in campus/club activities, and services to their departments.
ASHS Scholars AwardApplicants must be nominated by the head of the department. Only one person may be nominated by the department per year. See the criteria on the ASHS website.
Minnesota Nursery and Landscape Association ScholarshipsStudents are nominated for this award by the department. This award is given to an outstanding undergraduate student studying horticulture.
