Forest Hunt

Forest is a Masters student in the Applied Plant Science program through the University of Minnesota Department of Horticulture. They are interested in Minnesota native ornamental plants as well as woody fruit crop production. Their current research project includes analyzing mass spectrometry data of Vitis vinifera and V. riparia hybrids to understand the molecular differences in grape berry color expression. As an Ojibwe tribal descendent, they also have a passing interest in the ethnobotany of Ojibwe and Dakota tribes.
