Biography

My research investigates the influences of cover crops and rotational diversity on microbially mediated soil nutrient cycling functions. My aim as a researcher is to integrate farmers' expertise and experience into our understanding of the science of agriculture, while supporting practical strategies for improving nutrient cycling and reducing bare-soil time in crop rotations.

Outreach

My outreach work includes producer-oriented workshops on soil health and soil microbial communities, as well as the development of educational modules included in: Principles for Transitioning to Organic Farming: e-Learning Materials and Decision Case Studies for Educators.
