Lauren received her B.A. in Communication Studies from the University of Minnesota in 2015, with an emphasis on communication theory, mass media, and mass media representation. She applies this background to streamlining administrative processes and establishing clear communicative methods, as well as using her experience in mass media representation analysis to inform topics of outreach and engagement.
Since 2015, Lauren has coordinated the degree programs of the Department of Horticultural Science, including the Plant Science B.S., the Food Systems B.S., the Horticulture Minor, the Food Systems Minor, and the Masters of Professional Studies in Horticulture. Her work focuses on the streamlining and management of all degree requirements and coursework, coordination of specialty student programs, and administration of student scholarship and fellowship opportunities.
