Biography

Due to heavy rains in early spring, field work for farmers can be delayed. My research aims to help vegetable farmers deal with this problem with the use of cover crops. We plan on using diverse combinations of fall-planted cover crops to determine if soil moisture can be reduced, and allow for earlier field work. Our goal is to recommend vegetable farmers methods they can use to manage these early wet field conditions.
