Biography
I am working in plant breeding and genetics on breeding roses for resistance to blackspot. Using conventional breeding methods and inoculations on crosses between susceptible and resistant varieties I will begin to determine how the resistance gene is inherited in seedlings and how the blackspot fungus interacts with the plant to cause symptoms.
