I was raised on an old family farm along a famous Fruit Way in Utah; so working with fruit is not only something I enjoy, it is part of my heritage! My research is focused on creating new models using non-destructive tools that can approach the accuracy of the wet/chemical methods for important harvest and storage parameters in apples. Conceivably, these tools may also be used for phenotyping and aiding the breeding process.
