Integrated pest management, sustainable horticulture, fruit and vegetable production
Matthew Gullickson is a MS student in the Applied Plant Science program at the University of Minnesota Horticultural Science department. He is advised by Dr. Mary Rogers in the Horticultural Science department. Matthew studies chemical and exclusion management strategies for spotted-wing drosophila in fall bearing raspberries. Chemical control experiments focused on identifying new organic insecticide products for use on SWD. Physical exclusion cultural control experiments investigated whether there are benefits of combining mesh netting exclusion and insecticide application practices. His research interests include integrated pest management, horticulture, and sustainable fruit and vegetable production.
