Ecological Restoration

Prerequisites: One college course in ecology and one class in plant science or botany, or instructor consent

Offered: Fall semester, meets with ESPM 4071

Liberal Education Requirement: Environment

Description: Ecological and physiological concepts as a basis for the revegetation of grasslands, wetlands, forests, and other landscapes. Plant selection, stand establishment, evaluating revegetation success. State and federal programs that administer restoration and reclamation programs. Field trips in several areas of Minnesota.
