Description: This course examines several major areas in horticultural marketing. First, we analyze the functions performed by the marketing system from an economic point of view. Second, in order to understand the economic performance of the marketing system, we will analyze the behavior of marketing firms (farms, food processors, garden centers) on the different markets. Finally, current issues and trends in markets for horticultural inputs and products are explored.
