Successful School Gardens

Offered: Spring semester

Description: An experiential and international class that travels to London over spring break. Students teach in London schools and with Twin Cities partner schools in grades K-12. Focus is on understanding what is necessary for successful school gardens; curriculum that works in the winter in Minnesota; integrating plant science into school activities through grad standards across multiple grade levels; and comparing British use of gardens in school curriculum to U. S. school gardens.
